Please accept our gratitude for helping my family, most importantly of all for helping my sister."
Glasgow Rehab Clinic for Alcoholism
Treatment at the Clinic
At the Glasgow clinic, clients are offered an intensive treatment plan designed to tackle alcohol abuse and addiction. The programme includes a variety of treatments that include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), person-centred counselling, rational emotive behaviour techniques (REBT), 12-step work, and motivational interviewing.
As part of the programme, staff encourage patients to adopt a healthy diet and exercise regimen and as such offer access to a swimming pool and gym. The staff at the clinic also offer dietary advice to patients so that they can learn about healthy eating.
The method of treatment includes a person-centred approach that focuses on each individual and their entire being. Treatment is not limited to the actual addiction to alcohol; it involves all aspects of the individual and not just the addiction.
A typical day includes individual counselling, group therapy sessions, holistic therapies, and workshops. Patients are encouraged to take part in evening activities and to regularly attend fellowship meetings using the 12-step programme.
The clinic environment is one of support and encouragement for the individual being treated. However, as part of the treatment plan, advice and support sessions are also provided to family members when required.
The clinic is designed to help those who want to overcome an alcohol addiction. It is not suitable for the treatment of other addictions or those struggling with multiple addictions. This private residential clinic provides patients with a focused and concentrated approach to tackling alcohol addiction and offers a distraction-free and safe environment for those who want to be free of addiction.
Also, those who are suffering from alcohol-related problems such as mood disorders and anxiety can access psychiatric treatments here.
In order to keep all patients safe at all times, the clinic has a strict admissions policy, and those with a history of sexual or violent offences will not be admitted. This is a small, intimate clinic providing a high level of care and support for patients. It is the ideal place for those who want to recover in a quiet environment with a top quality care plan tailored to their individual needs.
Patients with a mild to moderate disability will find this clinic to be suitable to their needs. However, for those with severe disabilities, this clinic does not have the necessary staff or equipment to provide the required level of care.

Staff at the clinic have the skills and experience necessary to treat those with alcohol addictions. This includes qualified counsellors, a psychiatrist and a doctor.
